Doug and Tasha met in 1995 at Northwest College and were married shortly after graduation in 1998.? Doug and Tasha served as the Student Ministries Pastors at Eastridge Christian Assembly in Issaquah, Washington from 1999 until they received approval and appointment from Assemblies of God World Missions in 2002.? Doug and Tasha along with their daughter Kylea and son Kaden began their ministry in Swaziland, Africa in June 2004.

 

The Myers began Swazi Kids ministry shortly after arriving in Swaziland.? Swazi Kids is working to reach the children of Swaziland for Jesus through evangelistic crusades and kids clubs.? They are also training up churches and individuals to develop much needed children?s ministry within the national churches.? Doug has also been teaching part-time at the Swaziland College of Theology and is involved with Beat the Drum, an abstinence program directed at the secondary schools of Swaziland.? Tasha loves being Mommy, but has also begun to find her niche as a former primary school teacher by training other new teachers in the rural areas who are working with a school primarily for orphan children.

 

The Myers feel that God has given them big dreams for ministry specifically to the orphan children of Swaziland.? Though the doors haven?t seemed to open in the areas they would really like to find themselves, they continue to hold tight to those dreams and would greatly appreciate your prayers with them regarding that direction.
